Thank you for purchasing your signature frame from Lisa’s Elegant Things. Please take a moment and read the information below about using your new frame. We have packed your frame carefully in a heavy-duty shipping box. If you plan on moving your frame to a wedding, reception or party location, you should consider keeping the box and bubble wrap to re-pack the frame and avoid any damage that could happen to it during transporting. To prepare your frame for signatures, take the back off of the frame by pulling up on the tabs at the back of the frame. We have used tabs that are strong but bendable so that you can get the back off. We recommend you gently use a flat head screwdriver to avoid the possibility of cutting your finger. These tabs are sharp so be careful! Once you have removed the back, next is the mat. If you have your photo ready, you can tape (masking or packing tape work best) it to the mat, making sure it is centered. Then remove the mat. The final piece inside the frame is the glass. Please make sure the tabs are completely bent up so the glass comes out easily. VERY carefully remove the glass. Our 11 x 14 and 16 x 20 size frames have glass included. However, for your safety, the 20 x 24 size has plexi-glass. Either way, be careful when removing this piece. Now, you should store the glass someplace safe. Finally, replace the mat and backing, bend the tabs back to a flat position, and you’re ready for your signatures! If your signature frame is for a wedding, you can display it at your rehearsal dinner (to give those closest to you prime spots on the mat) and then at your wedding or reception. Be sure to use a gel pen with your signature frame. Gel pens work best because they do not run and pressure, which will dent the mat, is not necessary to write. You can display your frame with or without an easel. When the special day is over, you should center and hammer the hanger (included with your order) into the frame, THEN, replace the glass. DO NOT REPLACE THE GLASS UNTIL THE HANGER HAS BEEN INSERTED!! We do not send your frame with the hanger already attached so that there is no chance any of your guests will get cut on it while handling. There you are! You now have a beautiful photograph with your friends and families best wishes surrounding you to hang and display in your home.
